NORWICH – The 12th annual Colorscape Chenango festival came to a close Sunday evening with a heartfelt thank you from its orchestraters. The two-day event was a hit despite many worries about worsening economic hardships and a brief but threatening downpour Saturday – “It’s a success as ever and the music is the best it has ever been,” said Festival Director Peggy Finnegan.
The music of Colorscape was an impressive display. Nearly at all times a crowd of 100 or more sat before the NBT Main Stage, attentive to the audio delights of the performing artists. “I am totally pleased,” said Ken Millett, the festival’s music director. “This is a free event and with music of this quality, it’s an investment worth making.” Finnegan too praised the performing musicians and Millett for delivering a performance that help made this year’s festival a success.
