SHERBURNE – Norwich defeated Sherburne-Earlville for the second time this season scoring in the final minutes in a shutout Monday night.
Carly Law took a shot after a mishandled play in goal that deflected into the net with 2:29 remaining. Norwich goalie Amy Clemens handled six saves in the Tornado’s fourth win of the season.
“The girls were pushed up on offense where they were supposed to be, and we finished off the play,” said Norwich coach Scotty Decker of the winning goal. “I saw improvement from both teams over the first time we played.”
Norwich defeated S-E in the Hamilton Tournament last month en route to the title.
