NORWICH – Those passing by the home of Richard and Dr. Karen Banks Lindner either slow the car down to a crawl or turn back around for a closer look. Richard Lindner has decorated the front lawn of his Warner Road home with over 35,000 lights, speakers and elaborate ornaments, drawing at times over 110 amps of electricity. “Most homes can only draw 100 amps but last year we up graded to support 200,” said Richard.
The lights draw spectators and traffic, but this all supports a good cause. The Lindner family provides a large food basket at the end of their driveway and collect food for the Emmanuel Episcopal Church. “Last year we collected somewhere between 300 and 400 pounds of food,” said Richard.
