WINDSOR – Windsor halted Norwich’s five-game winning streak as a last-second shot by the Purple to tie the game was off the mark.
Norwich produced its second-lowest scoring output of the season and had quarters where it netted just two and six points. “We have a tough time with teams that play good halfcourt man-to-man defense,” said Norwich coach Bob Branham. “They’re a physical team, and we didn’t get a lot of good looks at the basket. We had to rush a lot of shots at the end of the shot clock.”
Norwich’s leading scorers, Alicia Testani and Minda Moore, combined for just 10 points, about 15 points below their season averages. Kala Haltner finished with nine markers to pace NHS (5-2).
