NORWICH – Cedar Heart Wireless, located on the corner of Birdsall and Hale Streets, will be offering high speed wireless Internet service to customers in and around Chenango County when it opens next week.

“Our main objective is to offer high-quality service at a price people can afford,” said Cedar Heart’s Chief Tech Officer Chad Raphael. Service will be available to residents in Norwich, Syracuse and Utica, along with may of the smaller, more rural areas such as Smyrna, New Berlin and South New Berlin. “Within the next four months, we’re going to have a total of 15 tower locations within the Norwich area,” Raphael said.

The cost for residential service will start at $29.95 per month with a one year contract. Separate charges for installation and equipment apply. Month to month plans are also available. Cedar Heart will also offer service to college students at a discounted rate. An enhanced dial-up service has been designed for the students, costing $9.95 per month. The cost for high speed access will be determined on a case by case basis.
