CHENANGO BRIDGE – Norwich faltered against Chenango Valley’s pressure defense and fell for the fourth time in five games Wednesday.

Donnalynn Cross scored 14 of her 21 points in the first half, and Alanna Cooney netted seven of her 14 leading the Warriors to a 13-point halftime lead. “We struggle against good man-to-man defense,” said Norwich coach Bob Branham. “They pressed us early and got some easy baskets off turnovers. Alicia Testani had 16 points for Norwich (6-5), who host Sus Valley Friday.
