Delhi 46, Unadilla Valley 44
NEW BERLIN – Unadilla Valley’s losing streak reached 10 games as Delhi pulled out its second close win over the Storm this season.
There were seven ties and multiple lead changes over the course of the second half, and putback basket after a missed free throw by Meghan Taylor put Delhi ahead for good, 43-41.
Both teams turned the ball over three times in the final minute of the game. Two free throws from Delhi’s Katie Darling sealed the win.
“We had our opportunities in the final minute, but just threw it away,” said UV coach Daryl Decker. “Give Delhi credit, they played us tough.”
Theresa Lazarus scored nine points and Caree Acre had eight for UV (5-14).
