Growing up in a household where her parents loved their careers taught this 19 year old that jumping headlong into the workforce is something she should indulge in, not be afraid of.
Alexandra Zupp, a native of Norwich, says being curious and outgoing are two traits that have always served her well. In high school, Zupp said she wanted to feel challenged by academics as well as professionalism. Zupp says she has always loved school and went the extra mile to maintain her grades as well as participate in various activities.
Upon completing high school, Zupp graduated as a member of the National Honor Society, National Art Honor Society and as a member of the National Vocational Technical Honor Society at BOCES.
Besides academic success, volunteerism is one aspect of Zupp’s life she says has been invaluable. She says she completed over 700 individual hours of volunteer work throughout her four years of high school.
Growing up in the country, Alexandra explains one of her greatest passions was to ride and show horses. She swam on the YMCA swim team for several years and participated in the New Visions program throughout high school as well as worked after school for a local law office and at one point was hired to work in the Mayor’s office.
Zupp said the time spent working after school paid off, the skills she learned are the skills that today, are aiding her as she ventures into her own business.
