Accused Drug Dealer Faces A Long Time In Jail

NORWICH – A man accused of selling drugs out of his parents’ home while on probation for drug possession appeared in county court Monday.

Corey A. Weidman pleaded not guilty to all charges against him. The time spent in court was brief and the prosecution filed paper work indicating they were preparing to go to trial.

The court did not modify its bail and remanded Weidman to the Chenango County Correctional Facility in lieu of $500,000 cash bail. Since Weidman had violated his original probation, he is not eligible for release even if bail was posted.
