Oxford 2, Delhi 1
DELHI – Oxford regrouped after Delhi’s tying goal as Danielle Murphy scored unassisted with six minutes left in regulation to give the Blackhawks their third win this season.
Vanessa Pierson tallied off a Marlena Frank pass giving Oxford (3-3) a 1-0 halftime advantage. Lauren Barkalow knotted the contest for Delhi midway through the second half.
“The conditions were not conducive to field hockey, so we had to scrap it out,” said Oxford coach Missy Chrystie. “I give my girls credit to come back after Delhi tied the game. The rain slowed the game down and we weren’t able to rely on big hits. It was a sloppy game.”

Sherburne-Earlville 4, Cooperstown 1
COOPERSTOWN – Sherburne-Earlville evened its season record and played its most complete game of the season, said Marauders coach Sheila Cooman.
Karli Harris scored for S-E (2-2) just 26 seconds into the game, and Samantha Crandall added a tally just three minutes later.
Harris and Courtney Kurtz added late second-half goals. “Tonight we moved the ball and moved to the ball,” Cooman said. “Obviously we generated offense in the penalty circle and the defense didn’t make mistakes. It was leaps and bounds better than last weekend.”
