Unadilla Valley 1, Bainbridge-Guilford 0

NEW BERLIN – Unadilla Valley remained the hottest girls’ soccer team in the MAC winning by shutout Tuesday over Bainbridge-Guilford.

Amanda Peek scored the lone tally at 20:32 redirecting a long direct kick from defender Kate Ross. The Storm (7-2) improved to 4-1 in league competition and did not allow a Bobcats shot or a cornerkick. The Storm have not lost since winning its own tournament almost two weeks ago.

“It was a well-balanced game and their sweeper got to a lot of our balls in the middle,” said UV coach Chris Bieniek. “We did a nice job passing the ball and it was a true shutout “
