Owego 4, Norwich 0
NORWICH – Owego responded quickly after a rain delay in the first half suspended play scoring two minutes after the resumption of action en route to a shutout of the Tornado (5-8-1) Tuesday.
Kendall Hilliker scored two minutes after the restart, and Jill Robinson scored with 10 minutes left in the first half. “We looked good the opening 10 minutes, but after the rain delay, Owego was the better team,” said Norwich coach Jeremy Bolton. “We definitely did a better job this time staying with their girls. Owego moves the ball well and has good team speed.”
Norwich hosts Oneonta Thursday.

Oxford 1, Deposit 0
DEPOSIT – Shots came few and far between for Oxford, but a single goal in the first six minutes of play was enough for a rain-shortened win Tuesday at Deposit.
Sarah Branham, making her first start at forward this season, scored unassisted in front of the Deposit cage for her first career tally. “I’m happy because we scored off the goalie’s pads, which we haven’t been able to do this season,” said Oxford coach Missy Chrystie. “Sarah had to start because we were low on numbers. She goes out and plays 100 percent all the time. I’m happy for her.”
