Unatego 45, B-G 39
BAINBRIDGE – In a rematch of last year’s MAC title game, Unatego returned to favor to the Bobcats avenging that last-season defeat with a six-point victory Thursday.
Unatego saw a 23-9 first-half lead dwindle to six points in the fourth quarter before prevailing. “It’s a whole different group for us and we were struggling a little defensively and offensively in the first half,” said B-G coach Bob Conway. “We picked it up in the second half. For many of our kids, it was the first varsity game they played.”
Dani Conway led B-G with 15 points and Mariah Schaeffer added 11. The Bobcats (0-1) host Sidney Tuesday.
