ILION – Sherburne-Earlville finished in a tie for second place at the Ilion Valley Duals Saturday winning three of five matches including a 37-30 win over Class A Whitesboro.
Wheeler Brunschmid was named the Marauders’ most outstanding wrestler of the tourney winning all five matches at 171 pounds. “Our lower weights will be our strong suit,” said S-E assistant coach Brian Hicks. “We have some inexperienced guys in the middle and upper weights, and that was our strength last year.”
The Marauders are slated to visit Holland Patent Wednesday.
