Unadilla Valley 38, Oxford 22
NEW BERLIN – Unadilla Valley is heading in one direction, and the Blackhawks seem to be headed in the other after UV’s win Tuesday.
The Storm won their third straight game after snapping a 15-game winless streak last week. Meanwhile, Oxford lost its third straight contest since winning the Norwich Pennysaver Tournament 10 days ago.
“Tonight was a big win for us because Oxford already has some big wins this season,” said UV coach Brandi Backus. “Oxford plays intense defense, and I was surprised how well we handled it. I played a lot of girls, and they all came in ready to play.”
Katelyn Ross paced a balanced UV attack with 12 points, and Cierra Izard added eight. No Oxford player had more than four points.
