G-MU 48, Family School 45
COPES CORNERS – G-MU halted a five-game losing streak Wednesday night beating Family School of Section IX in a non-league matchup.
The Raiders led by as many as seven points, and used a full-court press to keep the visitors at bay. “It was a good test for us considering where we are as a team,” said Raiders coach Bill Hartman. “We did some things well tonight, and I hope we can build on that. The effort was there tonight, and we executed enough to win.”
Peter Schmidt led G-MU (3-6) with 18 points and Cody Hall added 15. The Raiders play Tri-Valley League power Laurens on Friday.
