SOUTH OTSELIC – Otselic Valley senior Chris Olin pitched 6 1-3 innings of no-hit ball finishing with a one-hit shutout in the Vikings’ win over Brookfield Friday.

Brad Wentworth had two doubles finishing 3-for-4 with two RBI, and Adam Duell had two hits and two ribbies. Adding two hits were Chase Marsten and David Cerasani.

“We played a lot better today,” said OV coach Dave Loomis. “We were solid in the field and put the ball in play.”

The Vikings are at Madison today.

COPES CORNERS – G-MU avenged a sectional playoff loss to CV-Springfield from last season knocking off the state-ranked Patriots Friday.

Corin Todd’s attempted sacrifice bunt with two runners on in the fourth squirted by for an infield single to score Tim Sloan with the tying run. Andrew Delmar drove in the go-ahead run with the first of his two RBI, and Alex Schmidt added a two-run single.

“It was a nice win for us and I know our team was pretty excited,” said G-MU coach Jim Johnson.

Delmar finished with two hits and Alex Schmidt finished with two RBI.

David Adams went 3-for-4 for the Patriots.

G-MU (4-1, 7-1) plays at Milford today.
