Cooperstown 14, S-E 7
SHERBURNE – The bottom fell out of Sherburne-Earlville’s defense in the sixth inning helping Cooperstown come back for a Center State Conference win Wednesday.
The Marauders committed five errors in the Redskins’ five-run sixth moving the visitors in front 9-7. All told, S-E had 10 errors in the contest. “That’s the highest number of errors in a game that I’ve been involved with,” said S-E coach Brian Hicks. “We had great momentum, but I can’t answer what happened. We lost our focus, and once the ball got rolling, we could not stop it.”
Kyle Liner had three hits and five RBI for Cooperstown including a two-run homer in the first and an RBI double in the seventh.
Mike Doscher, Caleb Brown, and Steve Buddenhagen had two hits apiece for S-E.

Oneonta 3, Norwich 1
NORWICH – Oneonta saved its only offensive uprising for the vital seventh inning scoring three times to upend the host Tornado Wednesday.
Eric Scorzafava’s single scored Matt Marcewicz with the tying run. Winning pitcher Jack Benjamin followed Marcewicz in after Norwich’s only error of the game, and Scorzafava added insurance touching home after a wild pitch.
