EARLVILLE – The Village of Earlville is preparing to celebrate the village and the community this month with a three-day Community Days celebration beginning on July 11.
The Community Days will be begin on Friday, July 11 and continue through Sunday, July 13. Games and entertainment will be held all weekend long. The fun will start with a storytelling event at the Earlville Opera House. Quiet Riot, a storytelling duo made up of brothers Bill Mettler and David Mettler, will offer a free family performance at 11 a.m. at the Opera House.
Following Quiet Riot, the Peacemaker Adventure Program will provide a free family workshop with activities and games to help encourage working together, effective communications, problem solving, trust and support. Also on Friday, the Village of Earlville will begin its second annual Softball Tournament. The tournament will continue through Sunday. Games will be held at the Fayette Street Ball Fields, at the former Earlville School. Teams from several counties will compete in the tournament. The Earlville Fire Department will run a concession stand at the field during the tournament.
