EARLVILLE – The Earlville Opera House welcomes Gilbert and Sullivan’s Pirates of Penzance for an EOH Benefit on Thursday or Friday evenings at 8 p.m., or Saturday matinee at 3 p.m. This light opera and satire with infectious lyrics and melodies will leave you humming and singing the lyrics all night long. There’s a reason The Pirates of Penzance has been performed virtually non-stop since 1879 - it’s so much darned fun. No matter how serious-minded we might like to present ourselves as being, we can’t help but giggle at a clever spoof.
