NEW BERLIN – The streets of downtown New Berlin where lined with hundreds of people Saturday as the Youth Days Parade commemorated its 47th year.
Local children teemed like schools of fish, eagerly gobbling up tossed candy and trinkets from the streets beneath a roar of fire engines, cheering crowds and the occasional thundering cannon shot.
Before the start of Saturday’s parade, the Youth Days committee congratulated Roger Chase for his 25 years of commitment in helping to organize the procession.
“I’m thrilled to see so many people still come. People always like a good parade,” said Chase.
