Norwich 95, Whitney Point 74
NORWICH – Senior Savanna Keator crept up closer to the 200-yard freestyle record, and Norwich eased past Whitney Point for its second meet win of the season Tuesday.
Keator fell just eight hundreths of a second short off the school mark winning the 200 in 2:03.24. She also won the 100-yard freestyle, and teammates Makenzie Williams, Haley Chwazik-Gee, and Lauren Fitch had victories. “The girls swam really well, and we put them into different events to see their time,” said Norwich coach Amanda Downey. “We’ve been pushing Savanna really hard in the 200, and she wants that record really bad.”
Williams captured the 200 individual medley, Fitch the one-meter diving competition, and Gee grabbed a win in the 100 breaststroke. Norwich (2-1) is at Sus Valley Friday.
