HAMILTON – The first of 13 public information forums and statement hearings will be held in Hamilton today as part of the Public Service Commission’s year-long review of New York Regional Interconnect’s Article VII project application.
Information sessions will be held at 1 and 6 p.m.; public statement hearings at 2 and 7 p.m. on Monday in the J.C. Colgate Hall of Presidents at Colgate University, 13 Oak Dr., Hamilton.
The public meetings will give area residents an opportunity to express their views on the proposed 190-mile electric transmission line which, if approved, could stretch through 7 upstate New York counties on its way from the Marcy to Windsor.
Community members will have the chance to speak before Administrative Law Judges Michelle L. Phillips and Jeffrey E. Stockholm, who will preside over the year-long review process.
