OXFORD – Oxford started quickly building an early 16-4 lead, and cruised to its second win of the season.
Tom Gould had 15 points and eight rebounds, Alex Champlin posted a double-double with 14 markers and 10 boards, and Cory Seiler tacked on 10 points.
“We were able to run the floor well and got out to a pretty good lead,” said Oxford coach Tim Davis. “We went into a little funk against their zone, but we continued to play good defense and rebound well.”
According to Davis’ statistics, Oxford held a 32-10 rebounding edge. The Blackhawks (2-1) play at Delhi Friday.
