NORWICH – The homicide investigation into murder of William Lee nearly a month ago has shifted its focus to the forensic analysis of evidence.
New York State Police scaled back local operations Nov. 24 with the relocation of their command center in the investigation from the City of Norwich Police Station to the Norwich State Police barracks on Route 12 in the Town of Norwich .
Troopers continue to have the leads desk open at the local station, but many of the initially assigned officers have since relocated elsewhere.
“We are still pursuing leads in the case and we are waiting on forensic information,” said Trooper Captain Mark A. Lester.
