NORWICH – The City of Norwich held its organizational meeting Monday night, laying out goals and objectives for the coming year.
Mayor Joseph Maiurano thanked the council and the department heads for all of their hard work over the year. “They’re up to the challenges that lie ahead in the coming year,” he said.
Maiurano explained that one priority for the year will be to work more closely with the Planning and Zoning Boards. “Todd Dreyer (planning and community development specialist) will be working on ways to market the city to businesses,” Maiurano said. He explained that Dreyer will be referring to the City’s Comprehensive Plan to determine what the city needs. “Even at this economic time, there are businesses that are looking at the area,” Maiurano said in an earlier discussion.
