Tornado girls produce best offensive game

Norwich 64, Susquehanna Valley 42

NORWICH – Norwich overcame Susquehanna Valley’s hot start making up an eight-point deficit, while producing its best offensive performance of the season Tuesday night.

SV led 10-2 early on after a Samantha Williams three ball at the 5:22 mark.

Hannah Runyon started an 11-4 Tornado spurt with two free throws. Elisha Eddy added two layups, Adrienne Sharpe scored three points, and Michelle Testani connected on a layup after an Eddy pass.

Norwich struggled to shake the Sabers until the midway point of the fourth quarter. Leading 48-37 at the 5:42 mark of the fourth, Eddy, who was in foul trouble most of the second half, scored 10 points in three minutes during a 14-2 run.

Eddy led with 20 points and 13 rebounds, Testani netted a season-high 17 points including three three-pointers, and Runyon finished with eight points, 15 rebounds and six assists. Tatyana Ithier also dished out six assists for Norwich (4-5).
