GREENE – Coming off a hard-fought win over Sidney the night before, Greene breezed to its 10th win this season Tuesday against Unadilla Valley.
The Trojans (10-0) had seven players score during a 20-7 second period – Erin Smith leading with five markers. “We shared the ball well and had a lot of assists as a team,” said Greene coach Dave Gorton. “When we have balanced scored, we’re tough to stop.”
Barb Borst scored 14 points, Megan McDermott added 10, and Abby Wentlent picked up six assists off the bench. All 11 Greene players that suited for the contest found the scoring column as well.
Amanda Button scored 11 points to lead UV.
