Greene 57, Delhi 24
GREENE – Greene finished off a 19-0 regular season, the first in 15 years, with a dominating victory on senior recognition night.
Seniors Barb Borst, Megan McDermott, and Megan Kinne combined for 19 points in a 23-1 first quarter. McDermott had 10 in the opening quarter.
“We’ve played well the last three weeks, and since we came back for the second half of the league schedule, we’ve shot the ball at a real good clip,” said Greene coach Dave Gorton. “Tonight we shot the ball well on the inside and outside.”
Borst led the Trojans with 19 points, McDermott had 13, and Kinne pulled down a team-high eight rebounds.
Greene faces Harpursville a week from Saturday at 6 p.m. at SUNY Oneonta for a second straight MAC championship.
