NORWICH – Evening Sun/Manpower pulled into a tie for first in the Norwich YMCA Men’s Corporate Basketball League knocking off division leader Haddad Construction, 61-49.
The two clubs sports matching 9-2 records with three games left in the regular season. Matt Beadle canned seven three-pointers, and scored 19 of his season-high 28 points in the second half to lead ES/Manpower to its seventh straight victory.
Brandon Foulds added 11 points in the win, and ES/Manpower went 9-for-11 from the foul line in the second half.
Jaret Paul led Haddad with 16 points and Will Joslyn added 12. The Construction team had just five players on hand for the contest.
Mang, Craine & Mirabito 57, Stevens’ Construction 56
Mang removed itself from the winless list – a list of one – with a one-point victory over Stevens’ Construction in last Thursday’s opening game.
Neil Darragh put up a game-high 31 points for Mang (1-10), and Jeff Mirabot added 14 points.
