NORWICH – Throughout the month of March, the Chenango County Council of the Arts hosted its annual high school art show, Artistic Discovery.
Works of art from high school students attending Norwich, Sherburne-Earlville, Unadilla Valley, Oxford, DCMO BOCES, and Afton were on display at the West Main Street gallery.
Jurors for the show were Bill Troxell, artist and owner of Gallery 3-2-1 in Oxford and Tiia Aarismaa, retired high school art teacher from Oxford. Awards were given in the categories of painting, drawing, mixed media, photography, and 3-D. The first place winners in painting, drawing, mixed media and photography will move on to the next level of competition in the Congressional Art Show at Munson Williams Procter Institute in Utica.
