NORWICH – At a press conference held yesterday morning at the Norwich Wastewater Treatment Plant, Congressman Michael Arcuri announced that he had secured $500,000 in Congressional funding for improvements to the facility on behalf of the City of Norwich.
The stop, which also included a listening session with constituents at the Norwich Fire Department later in the day, was part of a tour the congressman is making of the 11 counties which comprise the 24th Congressional district.
“It’s an honor to work with someone who works so hard for us in Washington,” said City of Norwich Mayor Joe Maiurano, who was on hand to receive the ceremonial check.
