Greene 99, Delhi 80
DELHI – Greene was strong at the beginning and strong at the end of its meet with Delhi Tuesday night.
The Trojans overcame their top MAC rival winning the first three events, and then closing with three wins to win their season-opener.
“It’s always a heavyweight bout between us and Delhi, and that’s what it will probably be at the league championships later this year,” said Greene coach Mike Platta. “Our swimmers were mentally and physically prepared tonight.”
Jessica Brooks, making her debut for the Trojans, was a four-time winner to lead the way. Katie Crowe had two victories, while Leah Kazalski and Jessica Treadwell added a pair of wins.
Greene visits Johnson City on Thursday.
