Three shutout wins in Cyclones’ sweep

NORWICH – The Cyclones “A” Team dismantled the  unbeaten Camden Blue Devils, 38-0, to complete a sweep at Alumni Field Sunday.

Frank Garcia started the touchdown parade with a 24-yard TD run in the first quarter.  In the second, Michael Oralls reached paydirt on a 28-yard pass from Michael Sutton. 

Randy Stokes raced for a 33-yard TD, and Keegan Franklin returned an interception for a 50-yard touchdown on the last play of the half.

Stokes kicked all four two-point conversions for a 32-0 halftime lead.

In the fourth quarter, Matthew Burke intercepted a Blue Devils pass and raced untouched to the endzone on a 60-yard interception return.

The stiff Cyclones defense was led by Oralls, Sutton, Trent Stone, Garcia, John Marvin, Storm Cook and Jacob Perone, as well as the entire defensive units,stopping Camden cold.

The Cyclones’ “B” team stopped  New Hartford,14-0, to remain undefeated. 

Jon Manwarren scored on a 12-yard pass from Jordan Vinal with 2.4 seconds remaining in the first half, and  Alec Weaver kicked the two-point P.A.T. for an 8-0 lead.

In the fourth quarter, Cameron Edwards sealed the win with a nine-yard TD run.

On “D,” Weaver led the Cyclones’ shutout with Matt Parella, Landon Cummings, Carlos Itheir, Manwarren, Trey Muserallo, Edwards, and Dan Zieno having big defensive days also.
