COPES CORNERS – G-MU won its fifth game of the season and second straight scoring four times in the second half against Downsville.
Kirsten Gonzalez tied the game at 29:34 after a Lauren Hill pass, and Chelsa Fitch gave G-MU (5-9) the lead four minutes later.
The Raiders added two insurance goals in the final 1:23. Miranda Hill found the upper outside netting on a long direct kick, and Miranda Hill finished the scoring with just 36 seconds left.
“The entire game, we just didn’t give up,” said G-MU coach Kristen Bradbury summing up her team’s play. “Mentally, we’re definitely playing with more confidence.”
The Raiders host Franklin Tuesday.

NEW BERLIN – Theresa Guardiano scored 26 seconds into the game off a Sarah Mannina pass, and Unatego used that fast start to build a two-goal halftime lead and remain unbeaten in MAC division play.
Mannina added a tally at 9:20 before UV would regroup on a Kristyn Gould goal.
Guardiano added a second goal before halftime. “That first goal really stung,” said UV coach Chris Bieniek. “We trimmed at the lead and the second half was evenly played.”
