OXFORD – Oxford was able to capitalize on Afton’s short-handed lineup to post its third straight win on Tuesday.
Taylor Bates and Noah Auwater had two goals for Oxford. Justin Schray, Kyle Ferrington, Ryan Moore, Branden McConnell, and Ralph Renaud also tallied in the win.
“You could tell (Afton) was not the team we saw the first time,” said Oxford coach Matt Dorman. “Our guys had some opportunities, and they were able to find the back of the net.”
Oxford improved its record to 10-3 on the season. Afton dropped to 1-10 overall.

NEW BERLIN – Dale Morley’s goal midway through the first half set off a flurry of Warriors tallies in a shutout win over UV Tuesday.
After Morley’s tally, Walton put three quick goals on the board to create a 4-0 halftime lead. “After their first goal, we just had a letdown,” said UV coach Ryan Houck. “We played much better in the second half.”
UV plays at Unatego Saturday.
