COLUMBUS – A New Berlin man was killed Friday afternoon when the four-wheeler he was driving was struck by a pick-up truck while crossing a state highway.
New York State Police in Norwich announced Sunday that 45-year-old Randy J. McIntyre was pronounced dead Friday at Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown after being rushed there by the New Berlin Emergency squad.
The driver of the pick-up truck that struck Mr. McIntyre’s ATV was not injured.
New York State Police Investigator Jason Bessett, who was on the scene of the accident, said police were still investigating the incident but it appeared that the driver of the pick-up was not at fault. The man’s name is not yet being released, but Bessett said he was from the local area.
