HAMILTON, N.Y. (AP) – A car swerved out of control and hit an oncoming tractor-trailer truck on a snow-covered highway in upstate New York, killing the driver of the car.
State police say it was snowing when the accident happened at about 8 a.m. Thursday on Route 12B in the Madison County town of Lebanon, about 35 miles southeast of Syracuse.
The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene. The truck driver wasn’t injured.
Unconfirmed sources say the woman was from Sherburne; Troopers have not yet released the name of the victim.
