Norwich eighth-grade student, Matt Murray, placed second in the 7th-8th grade 400-meter dash this past weekend at the National Scholastic Indoor Track and Field Championships in New York City. Murray advanced to the finals with a preliminary round qualifying time of 54.98, then was the runner-up in the finals in 53.72 seconds, a time that established a new Norwich indoor track school record.
