CHENANGO COUNTY – Registered voters in the villages of Afton, Bainbridge and Greene took to the polls yesterday to determine the outcomes of village races in their municipalities.

Village of Afton

Forty-three voters turned out to cast their ballots in the Village of Afton election yesterday, where Mayor Sally Muller and Trustees Girard Mathews and Michele Simonds ran unopposed. Muller received 42 votes to secure her third term in office. Mathews and Simonds received 41 and 36 votes respectively to retain their seats on the board of trustees. There was one write in candidate for mayor, who received 1 vote.
