Maine-Endwell 6, Norwich 1
NORWICH – Eli Craig won for the second time in three matches this season at first singles, and that was the Tornado’s lone team point in Monday’s contest at Norwich High School.
Craig was a winner over Brandon DeLanarter, 6-0, 7-6 (7-1). “Maine-Endwell is really good from top to bottom, and we took it on the chin tonight,” said NHS coach John Stewart. “We play the best two teams in our division this week, and that will show what we need to work toward.”
Last Friday, Norwich was beaten by Johnson City, 4-3 with Craig and Roman Cwynar winning at singles, while Matt Craig teamed with Alexander Stewart to win at second doubles.
Norwich is at Oneonta Wednesday.
