Greene CSD budget hearing tonight
GREENE – The Greene Central School District will hold its annual budget information session at 6:30 p.m. tonight in the Middle/High School Auditorium. The district’s proposed budget for the upcoming school year totals $23,910,568, a $1,827,179 or 8.27 percent increase in spending over the current year. The spending plan will mean an estimated 2.88 percent increase in the local property tax levy.
Afton budget hearing tomorrow
AFTON – The Afton Central School District’s board of education will hold its annual budget hearing at 7 p.m. on Tuesday in the District Board Room. Afton’s proposed budget for the 2010-11 academic year totals $14,450,939. This represents a $21,821, or .51 percent, increase in spending over the current year’s budget and will translate into an estimated 2.87 percent increase in the local tax levy.
B-G budget hearing tomorrow
BAINBRIDGE – Residents of the Bainbridge-Guilford school system are invited to attend the district’s annual budget information session at 7 p.m. on Tuesday in the Middle School/High School Auditorium. The district’s proposed budget totals $16,403,196; a 2.2 percent, or $365,443, decrease in spending compared to the current year’s spending plan. District officials estimate the impact on the local tax levy to be a 1.9 percent levy increase.
Norwich City Schools hearing Tuesday
NORWICH – Parents and community members will have the opportunity to learn more about the Norwich City School District’s proposed budget during a public information session to be held at 6 p.m. tomorrow evening in the Norwich High School Auditorium. The proposed spending plan, adopted by the district’s board of education on April 14, totals $37,090,193. The budget represents a 2.07 percent decrease in district spending, and an estimated 3 percent increase in the local tax levy.
Otselic Valley holds budget hearing Tuesday
OTSELIC – The Otselic Valley Central School District and Board of Education will hold its annual budget hearing at 7:30 p.m., May 11, in the Otselic Valley Junior-Senior High School, 125 County Road 13A, South Otselic.
Unadilla Valley hearing tonight
NEW BERLIN – The Unadilla Valley School District will be holding a public hearing on next year’s proposed $19,614,309 budget tonight following the board of education’s regular meeting.
The Unadilla Valley School Board unanimously adopted the 2010-2011 budget April 15.
The board’s proposed budget represents a 3.25 percent reduction in spending from last year and will call for no raise in the local tax levy.
The budget may also include the elimination of 23.5 positions and provides no funding to several sports and programs.
The board will be meeting in the library conference room for their regular meeting at 6 p.m. followed by the hearing in the school’s auditorium at 7. Both meetings are open to the public.
