NORWICH – From June 28 to August 13, the Norwich Family YMCA offers a special morning program featuring a variety of fun and creative activities for preschoolers ages 3 to 5.
The Kids Club, held in the YMCA Preschool Room, features swimming, art activities, games, stories, snacks, field trips and a variety of weekly themes throughout the summer, including Fourth of July, Career, Summer Animals, Planting and Gardening and Water Fun. It is limited to 18 children per day, and those who wish to participate may do so 1 to 5 days per week.
Advance registration is recommended, but not required, and parents may sign up on a daily basis if space is available.
“Really, it’s whatever works best for the families,” said YMCA Youth and Family Director Bonnie Tiffany. Because of the limited space, Tiffany encouraged families to sign up as soon as possible.
“We’re excited about this program and everything that goes with it,” she said.
Oneonta State College and Walden University graduate Katy Loomis will head up the program.
“I think the kids will have a lot of fun,” said Loomis. “This will be a good educational experience for the kids.”
The Kids Club will be held from 9 to 11:30 a.m., Monday through Friday, at the YMCA on North Broad Street. For more information contact Tiffany at 336-9622.
