EARLVILLE – Two new exciting features have been added to the 2010 edition of Earlville Days: the Utica Zoo Mobile and the Huff Brau’s Block Party. In addition to these, the weekend celebration will also feature its traditional events as well.
Earlville Days, July 9-11, will begin with the comedy ventriloquism of Lynn Trefzger, a free Family Series event at the Earlville Opera House (EOH) at 11 a.m. July 9. Trefzger’s performance is free, but the EOH recommends reserving your tickets by calling (315) 691-3550.
That Friday also features the third annual Earlville Farmers’ Market running from 3 to 7 p.m. on the Village Green. This market runs every Friday at the same time through August 27. Last year, many vendors came from around the area, offering everything from fresh fruits and vegetables to baked goods and hand-knitted items. There is no cost for vendors to set-up and the market is held rain or shine. The Village Green will also play host to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office’s Operation Safe Child from 6 to 7 p.m. Operation Safe Child uses the latest digital fingerprinting technology and high resolution photography capabilities to produce a Safe Child card for parents and guardians, which allow essential missing child information to be electronically disseminated, statewide if necessary, within minutes and dramatically increase the possibility of bringing a missing child home unharmed.
