NORWICH – Following an extremely successful string of Summer Concert Series performances, Chenango County Blues Association President Eric Larsen and his fellow board members have one more surprise up their sleeves – a special free concert by rock guitar legend Les Dudek.
Dudek, who’s enjoyed a stellar solo career over the years, can be found performing on numerous recordings from a diverse group of musicians including Stevie Nicks, Cher, Dave Mason – of Traffic fame – Boz Scaggs and The Allman Brothers Band, with whom he accompanied guitarist Dickey Betts on classics such as “Ramblin’ Man” and “Jessica.”
Dudek will perform at 8 tonight in the Chenango County Fairgrounds Entertainment Tent.
“Obviously it was a real learning experience and you learn a little bit from everybody,” said Dudek, who added a new album is currently in the works. “Now it’s time to march on and continue to do my own thing.”
“He just kind of came on to our radar quickly and we had the opportunity to bring him in,” said Larsen. “As soon as we heard he was available we jumped on it.”
