NORWICH – The Chenango County FIRST TR-X 145 Robotics Team will be participating in the Norwich Senior High School open house on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in an effort to provide information on the robotics program. Parents and students who wish to learn more about the Robotics program and may be interested in joining for the 2010-2011 season are invited to stop by Rm. 1 any time during the open house.
The FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) is a unique varsity sport of the mind designed to help high-school-aged students discover how interesting and rewarding the life of engineers and researchers can be. The students learn skills in relationships, teamwork, finance, fundraising, budgeting and project management, all while building a competition robot. Colleges and universities nationwide, such as Clarkson and R.I.T, recognize F.I.R.S.T students with many types of scholarships in the science, engineering and technology fields.
