SHERBURNE – Teaching your children to call 911 when no adults are around and danger is perceived recently paid off for one lucky Sherburne family.
Last Thursday, six-year-old Micayla Eileen Race made such a call after her mother lost consciousness during an asthma attack.
“I always told Micayla if something were to go wrong, and mommy and daddy couldn’t help, or if she saw something that wasn’t right, that she could always call 911 and someone would always come to help her, no matter what. She must have taken that to heart,” said Cathy Race of Sherburne.
