NORWICH – The Norwich Cyclones “C” Team stuffed Holland Patent 26-6 at Alumni Field on Sunday to remain undefeated.
The Cyclones’ team dominated in the first half. Ty Rifanburg opened the scoring in the first on a 28-yard TD run. Carter Rudnitski had a 10-yard TD run in the second, and Marcus Benjamin scored on a 20-yard gallop on the last play of the half, which sent the Cyclones to the locker room with a 19-0 halftime lead.
Drew Walsh was on the receiving end of a 40-yard pass play from Rifanburg to the Knights’ two, and then he finished off the drive with a two-yard jaunt. Walsh and Ryan Borden added point-after touchdown runs.
Cristabal Caballero, Noah Marvin, Walsh, Benjamin, Cameron Ivan, Rifanburg, Borden, Keegan Wright, and Owen Blackman played tough defense stopping the Golden Knights.
The Cyclones’ “B” team fell to a strong Canastota team, 18-6. Dalen Geislinger scored on a 27-yard touchdown run just before the half to knot the score at 6-6.
