COPES CORNER – G-MU played to its third tie this season when Edmeston’s Chris Simmons netted the tying goal at 26:06 of the second half.

G-MU gained the first-half advantage on Corin Todd’s unassisted goal. “It was sloppy (outside), but I thought we had some good passing plays and some good chances,” said G-MU coach Mark Luettger. “One was a very good chance that we finished. Another, was an excellent chance that we didn’t finish. It happens.”

Bainbridge-Guilford 4, Unadilla Valley 2

NEW BERLIN – Bainbridge-Guilford rallied from a halftime deficit scoring three unanswered goals to defeat the Storm on Tuesday.

Brooks Harmon, who sat out the first half, came on to score all three second-half goals for the hat trick to lead B-G. Harmon scored on a free kick to tie the game at 2-2, that scored on a breakaway for the go-ahead tally. He finished his hat trick with an impressive display of dribbling beating two UV defenders before netting his shot. “It was a rough, wet game with little finesse,” said UV coach Ryan Houck. “The conditions turned (the game) into a slobberknocker. B-G got us on the ropes, and took advantage.”
