Chenango County Sheriff Ernest Cutting Jr. and Norwich City Police Chief Joe Angelino traveled to downtown Binghamton Thursday afternoon to congratulate two new law enforcement officers. Deputy Chad O’Hara and Officer Evan Romaine completed the police academy after attending it from March 15 to Oct. 21 for eight hours of weekday instruction. O’Hara is a Plymouth native, Norwich High School graduate and resides with his family in Sherburne. He was hired by the Sheriff’s Office this past Feb. Romaine is an Oxford native and graduated from Oxford Academy High School. He was honorably discharged for the U.S. Marine Corps. Sept. 14, 2007 and has two year degree in criminal justice.
